Biotechnology Research Center Organizes an Awareness Seminar on Tuberculosis
Under the supervision of the Director General of the Center, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mahmood Farhan, the Center for Biotechnology Research at Al-Nahrain University organized an awareness seminar titled “New Diagnostic Tuberculosis Techniques.”
The seminar aimed to present informative sessions on the causes, symptoms, prevention methods, and treatment of tuberculosis. It covered four main topics:
The first topic addressed the nature of the disease, how it spreads, and ways to prevent it.
The second focused on the epidemiology of tuberculosis in Iraq.
The third highlighted community partnerships in the National Tuberculosis Control Program.
The final topic discussed the medications used in treating tuberculosis.
The seminar concluded with several key recommendations, the most important of which were: avoiding enclosed spaces, ensuring proper ventilation, following healthy practices when sneezing or coughing, adhering strictly to the prescribed treatment plan, and avoiding gatherings to prevent the spread of the disease
