Lecture on Bio-Fractionation for Medical Department Students
The Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University received a group of professors and fourth-stage students from the Medical Department, College of Biotechnology, at the same university.
The visit aimed to provide students with theoretical explanations in addition to conducting practical experiments related to the topic of bio-fractionation.
Professor Dr. Zainab Yaseen Mohammed delivered the first lecture, offering a detailed explanation of both the theoretical and practical aspects of purifying biologically active compounds. Assistant Professor Ayat Adnan also gave a lecture focusing on the purification of proteins from various plant and animal sources, covering all stages of the purification process.
The students were introduced to the equipment available in the center’s laboratories, which enable the execution of the purification steps. The delegation of professors and students from the Medical Department expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the valuable information they received
