Assistant Professor Dr. Ghaidaa Hussein Abdul Rahim, a faculty member in the Department of Environment at the Biotechnology Research Center, Al-Nahrain University, participated as a committee member in the defense of the master’s thesis of researcher Mohammed Nouri Duhaie from the College of Biotechnology at the same university. The thesis was titled:
“Molecular Detection and Sequencing of Fluoroquinolones Resistance Gene and Antibiotic Resistance Profile of Enterococcus spp. Isolated from Clinical Samples in Babel/Iraq.”
The thesis aimed to study the resistance genes of Enterococcus spp. against antibiotics, focusing on bacteria isolated clinically from patients in hospitals in Babel Governorate, Iraq.
The defense took place at the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies, University of Baghdad. This collaboration is part of joint scientific efforts to promote research and exchange expertise between the universities of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain
