Tree-Planting Campaign is an initiative by the Biotechnology Research Center of Al-Nahrain University aimed at the whole of tree planting program in the gardens of the center. Under the Agricultural Affairs Division of the Directorate of Facilities and the Propagation and Afforestation Unit, the campaign was executed under the overview of the University administration’s objectives to give campus the very best touch.
Also, the program sought to rehabilitate the center’s garden by planting various trees, shrubs, and flowers in addition to establishing a permanent greening lawn.
The participation in the campaign included the center’s director, Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Farhan, along with staff and faculty members, with Dr. Farhan, who realized the significance of cooperative action in the restoration and preservation of the environment, praising the contributors to the accomplishment of the campaign.
A very big variety of appropriate seedlings were supplied to the center during the campaign while ensuring their sowing in appropriate soils with all the needed aftercare.
It seeks to achieve the environmental conservation program of promoting environmental awareness of the Ministry involved and is part of the continuing effort towards expanding into green spaces to ease the air at the university
