Scientific Course On Thursday, March 10, 2024, the Biotechnology Research Center, Al-Nahrain University, initiated its scientific course entitled “Steps of Tissue Dissection of Experimental Animals”. It provided the theory and practice, related to the later stages of humane euthanasia of animals, which are tissue fixation, maceration of organs, and tissue preparation for cut sections, which will be examined microscopically. It is worth noting that the course was presented by lecturers from the center’s departments, including Dr. Haitham Oda M. , Dr. Ahmed F. , Dr. Haneen M. , Assist. Lect Nawar R. Jaber, Assist. Lect Zainab W. Abdulameer, and Assist. Lect Ibtisam S. Mahdi. The course was also administered by the management of the center and ended, as usual, with the student test all participants and received informative certificates signed by Professor Dr. Muhammad G. Al-Halbousi, Director General of the center

Joint Collaboration with the Central Health Laboratory. A delegation from Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University has held a meeting with the Central Health Laboratory. The meeting also focused on how both parties can gain from one another with regards to deepening the engagement between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the fields of research and training in order to enhance the delivery of health care services and foster scientific endeavors. This meeting occurred at the Public Health Directorate and the representatives of the center Prof Dr. Farah Thamer and Assistant Dr. Sura Ali were joined by heads of the departments, units and coordinators of training from the laboratory
